Registering the channel:

root@localhost[/tmp]#pear channel-discover pear.drush.org
Adding Channel “pear.drush.org” succeeded
Discovery of channel “pear.drush.org” succeeded
root@localhost[/tmp]#pear install drush/drush-6.1.0.0

/usr/local/bin/drush

Additional Commands.
Listing available packages:

#pear remote-list -c drush

Installing a package:

#pear install drush/package_name

Installing a specific version

#pear install drush/package_name-1.0.0
